It’s time to share the love and shed some fat

Chris over at Chilvary.net is facing the same challenge that I, and several others, are facing this spring. The time has come to shed the off-season fat that has accumulated on our bodies.

He has offered to create a Virtual Fat Camp and I’ve joined in to share what’s working and not working for me. Right now, I can tell you that consuming mass quantities of Toffee-ettes is not the key to losing bodyfat.

While the approach Chris outlines is not one I am using, I think we could all benefit from our shared experiences. Who wants to join in in the merriment?

It looks like Chris is shooting to lose 20 pounds by some unknown date. I’m aiming for losing 17 pounds of flubber and gaining 7 pounds of muscle by July 1 to hit a target of 165 pounds at 10 percent bodyfat…wait, scratch that.

This just in from the Hakado Ru Monitoring System: Due to a slow training month in March and an extreme consumption of Toffee-ettes, I now have to lose 21 pounds of bodyfat and gain almost 10 pounds of muscle in 12 weeks.

I’ve been taking creatine (EAS Phosphagen to be exact) the last two weeks during my Build phase and will end that next week. I’m hoping that is accounting for the somewhat sudden gain in bodyweight (three pounds) over the last couple of weeks…although I’m sure the Toffee-ettes played no small role.
