Endurance Files: August 4, 2007

Happy weekend everyone!

Once again, here are some great snippets from the blogosphere that will be of interest to you:

  • Having a hard time storing your bike collection? The Unclutterer offers some great storage ideas.
  • Pressed for time to squeeze in your runs? You can always try making a workstation treadmill as described by Susan Heid over at Web Worker Daily. However, training is my escape from the work world so I’m not one to try and bring it along on my runs. Then again…as I get more into this pre-med stuff, I may have no choice but to combine homework and running at some point. Blech!
  • How to Sleep on 4 Hours per Night: The is for the uber performance geeks. I’ve found that I need my seven hours of sleep to function well, and up to nine when I’m in a particularly demanding training cycle. I think four hours is for those mental giants who only need to re-set their brains and have no need for their spindly arms to recover from any sweat-inducing exercise. That being said, the article is still an interesting read.

Find your edge and dance upon it.

  1. Nice new look here on your site! Thanks — your last two posts contain useful information! Headed your way in a couple weeks. The family is headed to LV to see my sis and two nieces. We’re all sitting our butts down at the MGM pools for two days. I can’t wait! My 4 yr old niece is telling everyone she’s going on vacation to a hotel and a pool. She doesn’t realize it’s 15 minutes away from her home :) Frankly, even if she did, she probably wouldn’t care! Nor should she :) Where can I look and see if there are any road races going on Sat Aug 26th in LV/Henderson? Thanks!
