Sorry I’m late with this one today. I got behind on my blog touring of the week and had to cull through nearly 200 posts to find these gems for you.
Finals are next week and I’ve been not-so-successfully treading in the pond of life trying to keep my head above the water. I just need to knuckle down for six more days and then sweet bliss for the next month!
On to this week’s recommended reads:
∑ Have cold feet on the bike? I know I do and it’s perhaps the most challenging part of my anatomy, well, maybe second most challenging, to keep warm when the temps dip in the 40s or lower. Commute by Bike has a great tip on keeping your tootsies warm this winter…and it’s free!
∑ The high temp is Las Vegas today is 50 degrees. Oh yeah, it’s sunny too. Well, we have had some gnarly looking rain clouds threatening to unload on the valley the last 24 hours, but it’s been all show and no go so far. At the moment, it’ sunny. Anyway…it’s a bit chilly, dare I say wintery, for me right now. But, Elizabeth Fedofsky set me straight with her cold weather criteria.
∑ Liz also offers great advice for the newer multisport athlete with her Seven Highly Ineffective Habits of Triathletes.
∑ Over on his blog at the Boston Herald, Tony Gentilcore has two good reads for those getting back to the gym this winter: Exercise Physiology 101 and a Small Rant on Fat Loss.
∑ Paulo Souza gets a bit more old school with some common sense swimming advice.
∑ Gordo Byrn (who was profiled on these humble pages earlier in the week) once again makes you put on your thinking cap on why you’re an athlete in the first place with his post on Health and Athletic Longevity.
