A belated congratulations to Dara Torres for yet another remarkable “un-retirement” from the sport of swimming. In case you’ve been under a rock for the past few days, 41-year-old Torres kicked some ass during last weekend’s U.S. Olympic trials and made the U.S. team. Beijing marks her fifth time representing the U.S. at the Olympics.
As a fellow 41-year-old (in a few days), I have some empathy for not only the work that she has to put her body and mind through, but the skill it takes to adequately recover from training sessions.
We’ll be rooting for her in the Hak household!

I wrote a brief about Darra Torres’ comeback journey last November after the NY Times did a great profile piece. Definitely worth a read.
