More on my semi-retirement from triathlon

I’ve been trying to write a follow-up to why I have chosen to semi-retire from the sport of triathlon, but I keep getting myself into corners and making the damn thing far more melodramatic than the subject deserves.  To keep it relatively short, I just turned on the webcam and started blathering away.

Here it is, my first video post:
Hak\'s Semi-Retirement

This is my first stab at video production and I pretty much suck. Please excuse the audio quality, poor editing, and my rather lousy narration abilities. The first two I blame on Windows Vista; the last on my Midwest accent.

  1. Hey HAK,
Great first vid. You’re a natural. Keep it going - you have a great personality and fun to watch.

  2. Good luck in the future dude. Too bad we didn’t get a chance to meet when you were here. I look forward to learning from you in the future with your posts though. If you do, DON’T feel bad about not being in tris. I, as many others, I am sure, totally understand the “family” thing. It really hits home when you bring it up. Btw, organic chem was my school day major before I became an ecologist/biologist. Weird how life takes you in different directions huh? Take care of yourself and keep posting the interesting shtuff!

  3. I missed seeing this while we were gone on vacation, but I’m glad you posted a follow-up. As Libor said, any parent can understand the family thing, and definitely you’ve got to take care of that heart for all the future decades to come! Best of luck on your martial arts journey, that is something I’m getting passionate about seeing through too.
